The Final Countdown

Today we wrapped up 3 months on the road around the US. It was back to our home today for Winfield, Miss Fit, the Motley Crue, Good Buddy, and Mother Trucker. Oddly, we happened to drive through the town of Winfield, FL on our way back.

Once home, Good Buddy went through the 2 feet of mail (mostly charities asking for donations). A big thanks to Sherri and Nate for taking great care of our estate while we were away. It was like we never left!
The Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park had really cool trees with Spanish Moss.
It also had a museum and Folk Center which we will need to visit on further explorations around our home state.
It came up so fast that all Good Buddy got was a picture of Winfield's Waste Management Facility Sign. The puppies enjoying a final day of riding, er snoozing.
The Motley Crue realizes where they are...home!
Houdini is grateful for our lawn.

The Last Day of Adventuring

We are really headed back now. We only have a day of travel through Florida and an overnight stop at the Stephen Foster Cultural Center State Park before the final leg. We also celebrated tje end of a great trip at Salsas of Lake City for some Mexican dishes.
The beaches at Topsail State Park were beautiful.
Bonnie the Butterfly was one of dozens around the park's garden.
Our site backed up onto a lovely Monetesque pond.

4 States in One Day

We made it through 4 states today and are back in the State of our origin - Florida. We've noticed a correlation between poor, small towns and Dollar Generals (and Waffle Houses, for that matter).
Lots of Dollar Generals through LA, MS, AL, and north Florida.
We arrived at the beach/Gulf of Mexico. The dunes are stunning.
