Walking Around New Orleans

We continued exploring New Orleans by walking around the art galleries of the French Quarter. Good Buddy got some good advice from a fellow artist (undervaluing your work is undervaluing yourself). Then we headed over to the Garden District for a fun walking tour. We saw lots of mansions and even saw momma Manning outside her house (that matched her outfit). The day turned rainy in the afternoon so it was good we got out early.

Nawlins Fun

New Orleans is pretty quiet these days with Covid restrictions. There is no live music in the French Quarter and the number of tourists seems to be pretty slim. We explored the French Quarter area, including the New Orleans Jazz Museum. We tried some infamous beignets at Cafe du Monde, while listening to a busking band. Later in the day, it was a haunted walking tour that explored the legends and lore of the area.

While getting set up, Reggie was very curious. This is him through the lower storage unit looking into the area under our bed.

Streets are pretty empty here. Especially in late morning.

Then we learned about Jazz in the city. These are the earliest bass drum pedals at over 100 years old! Shopping in the French Quarter was amusing.

First stop on our spooky tour.

The LaLaurie Mansion story is pretty creepy.
