Wide Open Spaces

We hit the road again on the way to South Dakota today. It is nice to be at a lower elevation- our bodies thank us. Through Wyoming up to South Dakota had mostly expansive views of grasslands, mesas, and pastures. Sturgis is definitely in full effect in the surrounding towns ( e.g. Custer). We saw lots of bikers at our campground and downtown. PS- cell service is spotty at best and the camp WiFi is pretty lame- so you may see a lag in posts until we get to better reception over the weekend.Lots of bikes and people, but not many masks. We'll observe from afar.
Houdini was STRUGGLING with motion sickness today, but made it to the campground with no issues.

Spooky Tours, Music+Nature, and Meet Up with Friends

We started the day with another pancake breakfast and Alvin winning the pancake eating contest. Then we went on a tour of the (in)famous Stanley Hotel.

We next made it down to Red Rocks to see the ampitheatre and do a hike. We caught a glimpse of the Coors brewery in Golden, CO on the way back to camp.

Lastly, we went back down to Boulder for dinner at Oskar Blues with local friends. Busy, busy, busy!

Alllvviinnn!!!

The main stairs in the hotel lobby. Anyone notice anything weird in the photo?

Famous room 217. Scared both Stephen King and Jim Carey.
Red Rocks Ampitheatre- where musicians perform when amateur athletes are not using it for workouts.

Hiking in Red Rocks and an homage to John Denver.

Dinner with Greg and Natasha (
