Here are a list of items purchased or made that have really been helpful with making Winfield easy to live in/drive.
Suction cup hooks - used on exterior of RV once we settle in. Hang dog towel or light from it.
Over the car seat trash holder - We attached to our bunk ladder near the door. When we set up, the trash can fits into it so we don't have to open the cabinet each time we need to throw out trash.
Shower curtain hooks (clip kind) - These go on the rod installed in the shower. We use the clips to attach clothes or face masks to dry.
Insulated solar vent cover - We constructed this out by cutting two squares of the solar sun shades and using duct tape to join together in layers. Then we affixed velcro on the corners and command velcro on the border of the fan vent. It pops on when we are driving or parked with A/C on. The reflective surface blocks the sun from heating up the interior of the RV.
Collapsible bucket - we use to wash car/RV/dogs/floor. We also use to catch the gray water that comes out of the sewer when we open it (about a cup that the pump doesn't get).
Split water valve - It has two options to hook up your hoses. 1 for potable water hose and the other for the non-potable water hose. We can hose off puppies or muddy stuff and have water hooked up at same time.
Suction cup arrows - We cut the ends off simple kids toy suction cup arrows. They suction to the windows when open so the shade can be drawn but still allow for some air flow.
BBQ spice shaker - We have a small metal BBQ spice shaker that we fill with Diatomaceous Earth (anti-ants). When we get to a site, we sprinkle it around the RV to discourage a hostile takeover. * Bonus tip- Terro is good for getting rid of ants that have already invaded.
Tree-trunk shaped ottoman - From amazon, these small ottoman serve multipurpose. They are a stool, seat, storage, and foot rest. They can easily be stowed for travel. We call them "Ottoman Empires".
Walkie talkies- We use these when setting up camp. Instead of yelling across the park, we can communicate directions and information in a civilized manner.
Checklists - We developed checklists for arrival, departure, and towing. They are a work in progress, but we use them for each step and it has saved us from doing something stupid several times.
