Big Island, Idaho

We headed further West today over to Arco, ID. At the base of the Pioneer Mountains and close to Craters of the Moon National Memorial. We tried exploring the park this afternoon, but a strong thunderstorm nearly swept us away and thwarted our plans. It didn't help that is was a fee-free day with no Rangers providing maps or guidance outside the Visitor Center.

Brutal wind and rain pelted us for this portion. We took refuge in the car and felt the car shake from the wind. We got out of there quick and will try again tomorrow.
